Here's what each of us think the ideal box looks like! What should go in and what shouldn't!

Meet Sharmine Aziz
So everytime I've given out a box I've seen the kids have been most excited about the stationary. It is a complete novelty for them. Stunning colors and crayons. So make sure you put those in!
So here's the exact list of what I put every single time I make a box. This fits in perfectly.
*One Thermos
*One lunch box (I usually put small items like sharpener and eraser etc in here)
*Two small coloring books
* One box of crayons
* One box of color pencils
* Tennis ball
* Skipping Rope
* Toy car
*2 pencils
*Sharpener and eraser
*Tooth paste and tooth brush
*A comb
*Bar Soap
* Note: wrap the lid and box separately. We check each box before we give them out.

Packing a gift box for a child is always an exciting fun challenge. Kids generally have very set likes and dislikes, but what they love the most about a gift box is the love and care the sender puts into it, besides the beautiful and useful gifts. So here's my list of the top ten favorite gift box items and some of the things which should not be a part of your box.
Top Ten
1- Toys ( small cars,dolls,tea sets, puzzles,planes, a small packet of Lego, a musical instrument or toy)
2- Story books
3- Writing pad or a colouring book
4- Box of crayons, colouring pencils or markers/ Stationery box
5- Toiletries like, a tooth brush, tooth paste, sealed shampoo and soap, sealed prickly heat powder.
6- Self grooming items and accessories ( a comb, hair clips and bands, earrings, bangles etc)
gender
7- A pair of sunglasses
8- Packaged snacks (sweet+savory) and a box of flavoured energile.
9- Age and gender appropriate clothing items/ pair of shoes
10- A water bottle and lunchbox pack.
Please Do Not put the following in a box:
1- ANYTHING USED. A gift box should never contain used things.
2- Toys with sharp edges
3- Loose coins or buttons.
4- No household or kitchen related items.
5- No perishable snacks.
6- No gigantic stuffed toys, then you won't have space for anything else.
Lastly I'd like to add that just make your box/boxes with utmost care and love, make sure that everything is new and good quality. Wrap it with some attention to detail because trust me, that's the first thing the kids notice and love.

Wrapping up happiness in a box for a child has been a lesson in Kindness for all of us. The main aim for me was to get the Karachi community involved in this project kindness. This kindness was not just geared towards the adults but most importantly for our little ones!

It’s important that you have fun while creating your special box! I made one box but put in a lot of effort to make it more meaningful. I kept imagining the 8-10 year old girl that would be receiving it and thought of what she would want to have and added a notepad, glitter gel pens, pencils, erasers, a pouch to put in all the stationary, a mini torch, and a water flask. I also added a mirror, hairbrush, nail polish, hair accessories, bangles, a henna cone, shampoo, talcum powder, toothbrush and toothpaste. Please remember, this is a gift and to only put new items in it! Please also avoid putting in items that are a specific size (clothes and shoes) since ensuring they fit will be tricky.
Every child enjoys snacks so do consider adding a packet of chips, biscuits and candy which will not melt.
